From 15th to 19th June, we will enjoy one of the more important international forums about Chemical Industry. We will be able to increase our networking (thanks to the new ACHEMA app) and exchange ideas during the exhibitions and events. We will attend interesting sessions, like the Opening one, where Dr. Stefan Hell (2014 Chemistry Nobel Prize) will deliver the keynote speech.
According to the last FEIQUE (The Spanish Chemical Industry Management Federation) information (“In-depth study of the Spanish Chemical Industry”) the chemical industry in Spain reached a gross added-value of 56386 M€, 2% more than in 2013, and a 13.4% accumulated growth since 2007, previous to the economic crisis. Moreover, exports grew up to a 57% of total sells, 3.6% more than in 2013, and 40% with respect to 2007.
Recently, Spanish multinational corporations have emphasized their international role. In this way, Cepsa has officially inaugurated its first chemical plant in Asia (Shanghái) with a 300M€ investment to become the second worldwide producer of phenol and acetone. In addition, Repsol has taken a step forward by completing the acquisition of Talisman Energy, as well as by increasing its hydrocarbon production and oil stocks in a 76% and 55%, respectively.
